5 In 1 Cookie Flavors!

Hey people,

Who doesn't like a nice big cookie fresh from the oven with a glass of cold milk, its pretty much heaven on earth. In my kitchen at work we make lots (and lots) of homemade cookies. It made me think that of the thousand of cookie recipes out there they all kinda boil down to your 4 basic cookies. Chocolate chip, sugar cookie, oatmeal something and sandwich cookie. These are great cookies but sometimes you need something new. So with the help of my hubby I searched the grocery store in search of cookie ingredients.

I made a basic chocolate cookie recipe but instead of chocolate chips I used Oreo, Skittles, chocolate coffee, sour gummy worms, and chili chocolate. Here are my results.

Awesome Cookie Dough Recipe⬋

Ingredients

1 cup Butter
3/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 Large Eggs
2 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1 (12oz) bag Chocolate Chips
----------------------------------
(chocolate chip alternatives)
1 cup Mini Oreos
1 cup Skittles
1 cup chopped Sour Gummy Candy
1 cup chopped Chili chocolate bar
1 cup chopped Coffee flavored chocolate bar

Directions-

Cream together butter, sugars and vanilla until creamy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Gradually add in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well before string in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon on to cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes in a 375 degree oven.

I made the cookie dough without the chocolate chips and divided it into 5 bowls.

To each bowl I stirred in my candy of choice and baked normally.

The results were interesting lol. I pretty much knew the Oreo and Chocolate Coffee cookie would be great but the Chili chocolate was good too. The spice was more mild than I thought and made eating them very easy. Of course you could always look for some super crazy spicy chocolate to prank your friends if you want something more extreme. I know Vat19 has some chocolate with kick if your interested lol.

The skittles and gummy cookies were by far the least popular. I didn't mind the skittle cookies but the gummy cookie was a total mess. The gummy completely melts into a beautiful/colorful mess lol. If I could re-make the gummy cookie I would bake the cookie plain then add the gummy bits on top afterwards.

Overall this was a fun experiment to do and a great project to make with kids. I know any kid would love picking out candies to use in their cookies. Bonus, you can use the really bad cookies in a evil game of cookie roulette. Or just use the plain cookie recipe for good'ol chocolate chip. You can also check out my YouTube Video to see how I made these. Let me know what you put in your cookies. See ya later!
