Sour Cream & Chive Fries

 Hey guys,
quick question, raise your hand if you don't like french fries (I'll wait). *SMACK* What the hell is wrong with you?! French fries are the best! (lol I just picture a hand coming out of the computer screen and smacking people πŸ‘‹πŸ’₯) Plus I doubt you would be reading this blog post if you didn't like them.

When I was a living in Michigan my favorite place for fries was the Coney Hut Drive Inn because they have these Sour Cream and Chive fires that were to die for . Ordering a basket of those with a mug of root beer was pretty much heaven on earth for my dad and meπŸ˜‡. Sadly I moved to North Dakota and I haven't had these in years. However, I was digging around on the internet to see if I couldn't come up with a easy alternative. So here is a recipe for oven baked sour cream and chive fries.

 Ingredients-

2 Peeled and sliced Potatoes
1/4 cup Sour Cream
1/4 cup Olive Oil
4 Tablespoons Dried Chives
1 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Salt & Pepper to taste

 Directions-

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a bowl combine the sour cream, oil, chives, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Peel and cut the potatoes then add them to the sour cream mixture.

Toss to coat the potatoes in the sauce.

On a foil lined pan space out the fries giving them room to bake evenly.

Bake for 30-40 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fries. Don't bother turning the fries because you want the fries to have as much contact with the hot pan as possible to get a nice crunchy exterior.

When done baking give them 5 minutes to cool before peeling them off the foil. Plate them up and serve with your favorite fry sauce.

Just look at that beautiful golden crust 😍. Its not the same as the Coney Hut but I think I can make do with these. Plus since its now grilling season this is a easy was to jazz up some fries for your next burger night. I hope you try these and let me know.
