Final Meal Of The Year!

Hi everyone, welcome back and Happy New Year! For new year this year I was thinking about having a small new year party with my boys. Just the 3 of us (because I have no friends 😩) and I thought party snacks sounded great. Instead of a dinner I'll just make a spread of party snacks to munch on all night till the ball drops (or we pass out in a food coma since we are to old to party 👴👵)

As I was looking up recipes, which I will share a link to below, it made me start to think about how new years is the final meal of 2016. Now because my mind wanders in a lot of strange directions and with access to the internet I started looking up peoples final meals, like celebrities and death row inmates. "What if this is my last meal?!" I think to myself 😱. What would I want for my last meal?

I started looking up famous and Important people like, Abraham Lincoln who had mock turtle soup, roast fowl, stuffing, baked yams, and cauliflower with cheese sauce. That sounds pretty delicious to me.

Or what about Elvis who had 4 scoops of ice cream and 6 chocolate chip cookies!

And other awesome last meals that I read about on http://www.funcage.com/blog/last-meals-of-20-rich-and-famous-people/
Then I realized that these people didn't get to pick their last meal because they didn't know they would die. So I turned to death row last meals because if anyone would know what to eat as a last meal, they would.

First there is John Wayne Gacy, the serial killer who murdered 33 young men because lets not forget these people were monsters. He ordered a dozen fried shrimp, a bucket of KFC chicken, fries, and a pound of strawberries.

Then there is Bruno Hauptmann, the convicted kidnapper and killer of the Lindbergh's baby. He also had chicken and fries with buttered peas, celery, olives, cherries and cake.

Last we have Timothy McVeigh, the man behind the Oklahoma city bombing in 1995 who killed 168 people. All he wanted was 2 pints of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Its very clear that if someone knows its their last meal they chose rich and high calorie food. Pretty much just your favorite comfort food. I have so many favorite foods I don't know where to start. should I go big like the best meal from a Michelin star restaurant or something that reminds me of my moms home cooking? I think I'll go with my favorite junk food ➤ Pizza with ranch (yes I am one of those people), a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream, nachos, Lindor Truffles and my favorite soda Ale-8-one. I mean, who cares about getting fat right?

Since I'm pretty sure I will live to see 2017 here is some of the snacks I will make for new years with my Husband and son.
